ADRA Tanzania in partnership with ADRA Denmark is running Action for Gender Inclusive Livelihoods Empowerment (AGILE) program which works in Dodoma, Morogoro and Pwani regions. AGILE program aims at saving and improving lives of thousands of smallholder farmers, protecting the vulnerable minority groups including persons with albinism and providing relief to people affected by disasters as promoting social justice for those suffering societal inequalities and requiring advocacy so that they can live in dignity as God intended. The project intends to hire for new position as described below.

Position: Project Volunteers Protection (2)–AGILE Project

Project Duration: 6 Months

Location: Dodoma and Morogoro, Tanzania

Job Overview:

ADRA Tanzania is seeking dedicated project volunteers to support the implementation of the AGILE project aimed at protecting vulnerable groups especially people with albinism and victims of GBV and advocating against violence and exclusion. The volunteers will assist in field-level activities including community engagement meetings, project planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting to ensure the successful protection and empowerment of vulnerable beneficiaries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for the AGILE project.
  • Coordinate project activities with stakeholders specifically Tanzania Albinism Society (TAS), Faith based communities, local leaders and like-minded civil society organizations.
  • Assist in Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on implementation and impact.
  • Support in conducting needs assessments and beneficiary surveys among people with albinism.
  • Ensure compliance with project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops focused on raising awareness and promoting inclusivity.
  • Facilitate community engagement and feedback mechanisms to ensure the voices of people with albinism are heard and addressed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in development studies, Social welfare, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management or development work, preferably in initiatives related to human rights or disability rights.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
