ADRA Tanzania in partnership with ADRA Denmark is running Action for Gender Inclusive Livelihoods Empowerment (AGILE) program which works in Dodoma, Morogoro and Pwani regions. AGILE program aims at saving and improving lives of thousands of smallholder farmers, protecting the vulnerable minority groups including persons with albinism and providing relief to people affected by disasters as promoting social justice for those suffering societal inequalities and requiring advocacy so that they can live in dignity as God intended. The project intends to hire for new position as described below.

Position: Volunteer – AGILE Project (Accounts assistant)

Project Duration: 6 Months

Location: Morogoro, Tanzania

Role Overview:

ADRA Tanzania is seeking dedicated volunteers to support the AGILE Project, focused on protecting people with albinism. Volunteers in the role of Accountant will assist in financial management, budget tracking, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability in project expenditures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining project financial records and preparing financial reports.
  • Support project managers in budget management and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with ADRA and donor financial policies.
  • Contribute to financial analysis and recommendations to improve cost-efficiency.
  • Participate in audits and financial reviews as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to achieve project goals effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (students pursuing relevant degrees are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
